People Just Like Us: The Roman Centurion

Is God a terrible being who only chooses certain people to be saved, while he brings others into existence to be forever lost? Are some more highly favoured than others? That’s what the Jews believed. Gentiles were outside salvation because they were not Jews. This attitude pervaded the early Christian church, even though Jesus taught the disciples otherwise. God needed to do something dramatic to show that He wanted to save the whole world. In this program we discuss that story, which involved an officer in the Roman army, an angel, a vision, and a follower of Jesus Christ.
