‘That zealous apostle’ is how one of his contemporaries described Pastor H.C.K. Harker (1877-1963), veteran Seventh-day Adventist evangelist and colporteur in the Australasian Division.
Pastor Harker’s denominational service coincided with the rapid growth of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia and New Zealand and some of the most tumultuous decades in world history.
While a student at Avondale College, Pastor Harker met Mrs. Ellen G. White and his association with this godly woman became a pivotal influence in his remarkable life and ministry.
The Author, a grandson of H.C.K. Harker, vividly records many of the joys and sorrows of one who was so ‘deeply esteemed.’
