We have received notification from an uplink station upstream from Australia that they have a planned maintenance outage scheduled for the middle of Monday, 29 October 2012, Australia and New Zealand times. This will affect a number of channels on both Thaicom 5 and Optus D2 for about 4½ hours, including 3ABN International and 3ABN Radio.
The outage is scheduled for each timezone as follows:
- Western Australia (AWST) – 7:00 to 11:30 am
- Northern Territory (ACST) – 8:30 am to 1:00 pm
- South Australia (ACDT) – 9:30 am to 2:00 pm
- Queensland (AEST)/PNG (PGT) – 9:00 am to 1:30 pm
- NSW/Victoria/Tasmania (AEDT) – 10:00 am to 2:30 pm
- New Zealand (NZDT) – 12:00 to 4:30 pm
The uplink station will endeavour to restrict the maintenance to these times, but unforeseen circumstances may cause the outage to be extended. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to viewers and listeners in the region.
