Setup for ST Gold Satellite Receiver
NOTE! First check to see if the receiver is factory preset to include Optus D2 by following steps 1 to 4.
- With the remote control, press Menu button and the MAIN MENU will appear on the TV screen.
- User Preference, pressOkay.
- #4Edit Sat press Okay, type in password “0000”, press Okay.
- Look for Optus D2 at 152.0 by scrolling down the satellite list.
If it is there, go straight to section ** below. - If not, go to Add, press Okay.
- Pos, type in 1520, press Okay and 152.0’Ku??? will appear, press Okay.
- Edit, press Okay and type in OPTUS D2 using the on screen keyboard.
- Done, press Okay and 152.0’ OPTUS D2 will be added to left screen.
- Transponder on right, press Okay.
- Add, press Okay then add Freq - 12706, Pol - Vertical, SR - 22500, CR - 3/4.
- Exit and Okay to save the information.
** Exit and back to Main Menu. - Installation, press Okay, enter password “0000”.
- Dish setup. Press the right arrow button and choose OPTUS D2 from the right side column. Press Okay to load it into the left column. This column should read Dish – 1; Sat - 152.0’ Ku OPTUS D2; Transp - 12706V 22500 3/4; LNB power - 13/18v; LNB Type - 10700 or 11300 (look on LNBF. Melbourne Satellites provide 11300 LNBF’s).
The last 3 should read OFF, NONE & NONE. - Exit and Okay to save the information.
- #3 Scan Transponder and check that information is correct for OPTUS D2 (as input above). Signal Strength Bar should have a %age reading and the Signal Quality will be 0%.
- Now find the Satellite and aim to get the highest Signal Quality % level you can then press Okay to download the channels followed by a second OK to save the information.
- Exit a few times until a picture appears and find 3ABN by using the up and down arrow buttons on the receiver remote control.
- You can edit TV Channels by going back to User Preference, press Okay and go to Edit Channel. You can delete the channels you don’t want to keep. Also, you can move 3ABN to channel one position.
